Soy wax candles and fragrances inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia.
Hi there!
I'm Heather, the creative spirit behind Trillium Candle Company. I was born and raised in Southwest Virginia and graduated from Radford University. Go, Highlanders! I've poured my heart into design for over twenty years, bringing ideas to life through visuals. But I found a new passion that combines my love for creativity and the outdoors with cozy home charm—handcrafting candles!
My journey has been quite an adventure. I've designed everything from eye-catching conference displays to playful, educational games for kids. I even had the thrill of creating multimedia experiences for NASA! But no matter what the project was, I always found inspiration in the beauty of the world around me—the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains, the winding trails, and the peaceful rivers that make this region unique.
With Trillium Candle Company, I aim to inspire people to get outside, explore, and appreciate the beauty right in their backyards. Each candle is crafted to capture the essence of the great outdoors, from the crisp scent of mountain air to the warmth of a crackling campfire. I want every fragrance to evoke a memory, spark an adventure, or remind you of the magic beyond your doorstep.
I'm involved in every step of the process, from carefully measuring and pouring the soy wax to designing and applying each label by hand. This hands-on approach allows me to ensure the quality of each candle while infusing each piece with a bit of my creativity and love for the outdoors.
For me, candle-making isn't just about creating a product—it's about crafting an experience. I love blending scents and designing labels, imagining how each candle might brighten someone's day or transport them to a favorite outdoor escape. Whether the smell of fresh pine reminds you of a hike through the woods or the cozy aroma of roasted marshmallows by the fire, I want my candles to bring a little bit of the outdoors into your home.
