I have always loved creating art but after a life-changing accident, a tree falling on me while hiking, I felt a renewed passion to pursue my art. I primarily create block prints by carving various materials, including wood, and then hand-printing the resulting pieces of art. Some of the pieces are extremely limited edition due to the method of printing multiple colors. Each color requires me to carve away more of the block so previous layers of color can never be printed again. I also enjoy creating illustrations with pen and ink, sometimes painting the final illustration with watercolors. As a biology teacher, I am often inspired by the natural world. I try to bring attention to some of the native flora and fauna of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Appalachian area, even if I may sometimes add a cryptid or two! Unable to be limited by one subject, I tend to explore more rural areas where I live or may travel for scenes that strike a chord with me. And when reality isn't "hitting the spot," I will create fanciful scenes from my imagination, folklore, or mythology.

Jordan Ball is a self-taught street artist and muralist whose vibrant spray paint and acrylic artwork captures attention with its bold colors and dynamic energy. Currently in recovery, Jordan uses art as a therapeutic outlet, helping him stay sober while also making life more beautiful. Art has become a central part of his journey, offering both personal healing and a way to connect with the world around him. Born and raised in Honaker, Virginia, Jordan's life has taken him across the globe—from Colorado to Thailand, Spain, and Chile—where he has absorbed diverse cultures and experiences that now influence his art. Despite his extensive travels, it was the encouragement of friends that led him to embrace his calling as an artist. Jordan's work is designed to grab the spectator’s attention with vibrant, eye-catching imagery. But beyond the initial visual impact, his pieces reveal deeper, hidden meanings, inviting viewers to look closer and interpret the story within. Whether on the streets or as canvas paintings, Jordan’s art aims to evoke thought, spark conversation, and bring a touch of beauty and depth to any space.
