Beagle Ridge Environmental Education Center is the Premiere Outdoor Classroom in the Blue Ridge. Beagle Ridge provides educational programs for students K-12 as well as a wide range of adult programming. Their classes are correlated to the Virginia SOLs for K-8 and they provide nature based education for the whole family.

Project Learning Tree (PLT) is an award winning, multi-disciplinary environmental education program for educators and students in Pre-K to grade 12. PLT, a program of the American Forest Foundation, is one of the most widely used environmental education programs in the United States and abroad. PLT continues to set the standard for environmental education excellence.
