About
I am Faculty Emeritus at Bluefield University. I taught in the art department there for 31 years. I am originally from Atlanta Georgia but now call Southwest Virginia my home. I love being a creative artist and love going on hikes. My work is often inspired by my travels in nature.
Tree images frequently appear in my work. I recently completed hiking the Appalachian Trail and my hiking journals, poems, and sketches provide the creativity for my art. I work in several mediums including watercolor, collages, printmaking, and oils but ceramics is my first love. I share Twin Creek Studio with my wife and fellow 'Round the Mountain artisan, Linda Weatherly.
