I am retired and enjoy woodturning for my major work now. I also enjoy repair of wood works and building furniture on part time basis.

My crafts include a mixture of country, primitive, folk art and a big pinch of whimsy. The materials I use are homespun, tea stained muslin and sometimes vintage quilts or fabric. Blessed with the ability to make crafts has led me to many freinds, crafts shows and lots of fun. Its nice to know something you make with your own two hands will bring a smile or laugh to someone and they buy it for a gift or add it to their own little corner of the world.

Handcrafted, wood furniture. Country style tables, cabinets, foot stools with woven seats and other home furnishings.

I grew up and have lived most of my life in Floyd County, Virginia. I always enjoyed all kinds of crafts and only recently have I been involved with a multi-media production of a documentary highlighting the life of a local fiddle maker. I am currently writing a book which will include a family history of my ancestors dating back to the 1700s in the Blue Ridge Mountains, information on some of the local businesses where I grew up but which are now closed, and photos of family never published before.
